Alt. Fuel Discussion Gets Real at NTEA’s Work Truck Week

Last week, we wrapped up an action packed few days at NTEA’s Work Truck Week in Indianapolis. The industry’s premier commercial work truck event did not disappoint and it was great seeing many of you there!

One of the things I found refreshing was the shift in conversation about what’s actually needed to make a positive environmental impact both right now, and for the long haul. Last year, EV anchored nearly every discussion. Many sessions positioned EV as the only clean solution. The sentiment was that if businesses aren’t solely adopting EV, they’ll quickly fall behind.

This year, we had broader, more realistic discussions about what actually works in application and is available for fleets today. In fact, there were several discussions about how EVs work in specific markets and duty cycles compared to other alternative fuels like propane autogas.

It’s great to see that the industry is looking for many solutions and not all the proverbial eggs are going into the EV basket. At ROUSH CleanTech, we believe that the path to near zero emissions involves multiple strategies, partners and options that work for fleets of all shapes, sizes and budgets. One size rarely ever fits all.

We enjoyed seeing all of our industry partners, dealers and customers and can’t wait for next year to see how the conversation continues to evolve!

Enjoy March Madness and get those brackets filled out!
