ROUSH CleanTech, an industry leader of advanced clean transportation solutions, develops propane autogas technology for medium-duty Ford commercial vehicles and Blue Bird school buses.

ROUSH CleanTech’s propane autogas platforms:

  • Ford E-450 cutaway and stripped chassis
  • Ford F-650/F-750 chassis cab
  • Ford F-53 and F-59 stripped chassis
  • Blue Bird Vision Type C school buses (also gasoline)
  • Micro Bird G5 Type A school buses

The Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board certify all ROUSH CleanTech fuel systems. ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas fuel systems help fleet managers meet their primary goal of maintaining the lowest possible total cost of ownership and easily meet federal emissions requirements.

The company was the first ever to develop a propane autogas class 4–7 vehicle engine certified to the optional low nitrogen oxide levels of 0.02 and 0.05 g/bhp-hr. Today, all ROUSH CleanTech propane products are certified to the ultra-low NOx level of 0.02/bhp-hr. That means our standard offering is 90% cleaner than the current EPA standard for nitrogen oxides and 99% cleaner than diesel vehicles built before 2007.

Vehicles with ROUSH CleanTech’s propane engines retain Ford’s horsepower, torque and towing capacity after conversion. Our innovative propane autogas technology integrates Ford’s 7.3L V8 engine in Class 3-7 chassis.
