Sustainability All-Stars

It’s one thing to love your profession.

  • Do you find your mission rewarding?
  • Does it compel you to put everything you have into it because there’s a greater good stake — and that’s how you were raised?
  • Do you wake up in the middle of the night because inspiration hit and you discovered a solution to your problem?
  • Do you get excited when you see a problem because you know that you, your company and your team have set measurable and processes on how to address these opportunities?
  • Are others inspired by your approach?
  • Do you look forward to every day because it gives you one more chance to work with and be a leader?

If you answered “yes” to all of these, you are like me. This week I was able to find a new pinnacle through our ROUSH CleanTech effort. My partner-in-crime, right-hand man and all-around great guy Todd Mouw was recognized as a Sustainability All-Star by Green Fleet magazine at the Green Fleet Conference in Texas this week.

Todd is a shining example a man that has passion for his mission and executes it to perfection. As vice president of sales and marketing at ROUSH CleanTech, Todd is on the front line educating fleet managers about the benefits of switching to propane autogas. While this seems like a common feat, Todd’s uncommon efforts of personal, individualized service with unbridled passion have revved the adoption rate of propane autogas fleet vehicles.

This year is the first time the publication has reached out with the Sustainability All-Stars designations, recognizing individuals who have made a significant difference in environmental responsibility. Among the 40 recipients, six (besides Todd) are propane autogas industry partners. They include Tom Armstrong of ThyssenKrupp Elevator and Larry Campbell of the City of Fort Wayne, Ind., who are adopters of propane autogas vehicles; Wendy Dafoe and Matt Sandstrom, both of whom help companies make the switch to cleaner burning fuels like propane autogas through their positions at Clean Cities Coalitions; Gerry Koss from fleet marketing at Ford Motor Company, our OEM partner; and Greg Zilberfarb, president of the Sales NetWork, who has promoted propane autogas through his work with the Propane Education and & Research Council.

Well done — to all.

And last, but not least, I’d like to commend Bobit Publications for putting the awards together, and Ed Bobit for having great publications like Automotive Fleet and Green Fleet magazine that tirelessly work to inform their readership on the reality of viable, sustainable, affordable, and clean-burning fuels like propane autogas.

So, here’s your fuel for thought:

Be amazing today…

Maybe next year you will be a Sustainability All-Star.
