You won’t find a flashing neon sign outside of our building, but we are, and have been throughout the pandemic, open for business. We remain committed to clean transportation innovation with a focus on the customer experience.
We continue to make great strides in electrification. Backed by 45 years of electric vehicle engineering capability from Roush Enterprises, we have produced demo vehicles of our all-new Ford F-650 battery electric vehicles, including:
- Penske Truck Leasing is testing a couple of our BEV box trucks in Southern California.
- The City of Los Angeles is set to test our BEV stake-bed truck in its sanitation and water/power departments.
- Roush Fenway Racing will deploy one at its headquarters in Concord, North Carolina. This will mark our first BEV to be tested on the East Coast.
Our new Gen 5 propane autogas fuel system is well into production, which began in February. This propane autogas technology integrates Ford’s new 7.3L V8 engine in Class 3-7 chassis, which includes our line-up of medium-duty trucks, Blue Bird Type C buses and Micro Bird Type A buses. The result is a powertrain solution that is “cleaner, meaner and leaner,” with greater horsepower, fewer emissions and more room to perform vehicle service work.
