Wayne Township Schools Adding 20 New, Propane-Fueled Buses
Fox 59
Students in Wayne Township will soon be riding in new school buses. The school district is replacing 20 diesel-fueled buses with 20 new, propane-fueled buses in an effort to be more environmentally friendly and save money. Wayne Township director of transportation Janet Petrisin said they estimate $700,000 in savings over the next 12 years. A grant from the Indiana Office of Energy Development helped offset the cost of the new buses.
