ROUSH CleanTech Expands Commercialization of Transit Shuttle Buses with New Conversion Partner
CHICAGO (Sept. 12, 2012) — ROUSH CleanTech marked another milestone this week with the unveiling of a propane autogas fueled shuttle bus converted by their newest preferred industry partner, Green Alternative Systems, at the 2012 BusCon Expo.
Using their existing sales and service channel, Green Alternative Systems (GAS) has partnered to provide installations for ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas fueling systems in the transit, paratransit and commercial ground transportation markets. According to Green Alternative Systems, a certified Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier alternative fuels installer, GAS is the largest commercial alternative fuel conversion company in the country, completing more than 1,000 installations last year.

Built on a Ford E-450 chassis with a 6.8-liter, V10 engine and a 41-gallon propane autogas fuel tank, the ROUSH CleanTech shuttle bushas completed Federal Transit Administration’s New Model Bus Testing Program (“Altoona Testing”) and is certified for sale in all 50 states by the California Air Resources Board and Environmental Protection Agency.
