MTA Executive Says Savings From First Propane Mini Betters is Better than Expected
Michigan Live
The first propane-powered mini bus in the Mass Transportation Authority’s fleet is saving even more money than expected and more vehicles are coming in the next several weeks.
MTA Executive Director Ed Benning said as diesel fuel prices continue to rise – up to $3.61 per gallon for the agency – the savings become even larger with propane technology.
The mini buses are replacing Your Ride vans and carry 15-18 passengers.
