City of Cypress Services Local Streets with ROUSH CleanTech Propane Autogas Trucks
September 7, 2011 —Southern California’s City of Cypress is using ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas vehicles to green up their maintenance fleet. The city added two Ford F-250 pickups fueled by the alternative fuel for use in administering community street work, such as asphalt repairs and refuse pick up. The vehicles were purchased through a local Ford dealership after city officials learned about the benefits of propane autogas at an Air Quality Management District (AQMD) seminar.
“The City of Cypress is always looking for opportunities to put green vehicles in our fleet, and it’s important to move toward greener fleets when possible,” said Doug Dancs, the city’s director of public works. “Plus, the choice for propane was an easy one since we have had a propane fueling station in place since the early 1980s.”Sept. 7, 2011 —Southern California’s City of Cypress is using ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas vehicles to green up their maintenance fleet.
