Propane GAS Act Supports Tax Credits for On-Road Fuel

June 1, 2011 — Senators and Congressmen from Alabama, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas stood up in support of propane autogas through the introduction of the 2011 Propane GAS Act (H.R. 2014/S. 1120) in the United States House and Senate. This legislation encourages the use of propane autogas in commercial fleet vehicles by extending provisions in current legislation for propane autogas fuel, propane autogas powered vehicles, and refueling infrastructure through 2016.

Propane Autogas Shuttle Vans Service Major California Airports

June 9, 2011 — Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service, a California ground transportation company, became the first of its kind in Ventura County to adopt propane autogas as its alternative fuel of choice. Roadrunner Shuttle’s first four CARB-certified ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas Ford E-250s hit the road in June 2011, with 20 more scheduled within the next year. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), one of the major airports serviced by Roadrunner Shuttle, requires service vehicle companies to run on alternative fuels by 2015.
