36 Propane Blue Birds for Forest Grove

The board of Oregon’s Forest Grove School District west of Portland has approved the purchase of 36 propane-fueled school buses, which according to a local report will save a projected $400,000 over ten years of operation. Transportation services provider MIDCo, the Mid-Columbia Bus Company, will purchase ten buses in the first year, add five buses a year for the next four, finishing up with six buses in the fifth year, states the Oregon Live report.
