In southeast Florida, Broward County residents are enjoying cleaner air and less noise thanks to Broward County Transit’s addition of propane autogas vehicles to its fleet. “We’ve emitted 18 million fewer pounds of carbon dioxide emissions in the past five years with our propane fleet,” said Paul Strobis, director of paratransit for Broward County Transit.
Nicholas Trucking Co. Inc., an 80-year-old, family-owned Pennsylvania-based USPS mail contractor, is operating its first propane autogas vehicles in its fleet.

To keep up with growth, Zionsville Community Schools has increased bus routes using propane autogas. The suburban public school district, which is located outside Indianapolis, is now operating 33 new propane school buses.
