First CNG Buses Rolled Out with Technician Training
Dear Partners of ROUSH CleanTech,
We held our first compressed natural gas school bus training earlier this month. Our team visited Arizona’s Marana Unified School District and Canyon State Bus Sales to instruct their technicians on servicing their new Blue Bird Vision CNG buses.
It’s a milestone for us as these are our first CNG models to be in-serviced with technician training for the dealer and district.
The course was a new instructor-led training program developed by Blue Bird, ROUSH CleanTech and our supplier partners. It’s targeted at service personnel from the dealer and school district to learn about the technology in the new CNG Vision.
During the program, we covered CNG-specific topics, like:
- CNG shop safety
- Fueling
- Fuel system components
- Maintenance items and intervals
- Repair procedures
- And more
Our next CNG Technical Training will be held in Florida for Pasco County School District and Florida Transportation Systems.
